The movie had a good start presentin the explanations girls give their girlfriends to comfort them when a guy doesn’t show up. But most of the time we "construct" any possible reason in our favor for the guy not calling us. So maybe it is recommendable not to listen to your girlfriends anymore saying that he’s just not calling you because he actually likes you so much!
As far as I can remember the first time I clearly understood the movie's title was in “Sex and the City”’s episode titled "Pick-A-Little, Talk-A-Little," in which Miranda asks Carrie's boyfriend, Jack Berger, to analyze the post-date behavior of a potential love interest. Because the man declined Miranda's invitation to come up to her apartment after the date, stating that he has an early meeting, Berger concludes, "he's just not that into you," adding, "When a guy's really into you, he's coming upstairs, meeting or no meeting".

“He’s just not that into you” is a new movie in theaters across Germany based on a self-improvement book written by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo and published in 2004, starring Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrimore, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Connelly, etc – all popular and good actors. Unfortunately the flick is not good. After a nice and funny first half, the film takes an unpleasant turn. Characters who you considered nice and sexy or funny become the opposite. Which has a corresponding impact on the story. It starts to get on your nerves. Maybe girls at the age of 15 to 25 may like it, but still I doubt that.
Our generation now knows that either a man shows his genuine interest in you by calling or inviting you, or he doesn’t. Knowing this is a good thing because it makes you take decisions very quickly instead of wasting time.

The charming part of the story is when Gigi constantly starts to call bartender Alex, who once gave her an advice, whenever she’s in a situation with a guy just to get told what her next move should be. Being always involved with guys with merely sexual intentions, but her wanting more than that, Alex teaches her that male signs are much clearer than female thoughts. If he doesn’t call you, if he doesn’t want to sleep with you, if he doesn’t marry you – run! No “what if he called me and I just didn’t get the message?” or “what if he is out of town?”.
A discussion about exceptions and rules begins. There are some exceptions, and as the word implies, they are supposed to be very rare. Dating guys that are not that into us – is, most of the time, the rule.
But on the other hand, I believe that we all are an exception in a way. Don’t we all experience the clumsiness when both of us have a crush on one another some time? Days, minutes, seconds, waiting to get a call or any sign from the other?

In the end, love is not that easy. It may take some time and sorrow, but don’t we all meet the ONE one day and get our life happily fixed with this one?
Anyway: don’t watch this movie (in the theater). You won’t get some wisdom from it, you won’t even have fun watching it. If you are still interested or want to have a little fun, go on the movie's website where you can find a date detector and a quiz to find out whether the one really likes you or not: http://www.hesjustnotthatintoyoumovie.com/

...nevertheless, love stories are always the most interesting stories ruling conversations of boys and girls, letting us feel out of control, acting with a strange behaviour.
Thus, they are never ending stories.
