my personal story with No Doubt #1

you might not understand this, and probably get fed up with all my No Doubt madness. but with ND it was love at first sight. when I first saw "don't speak" and "just a girl" I was hooked up from the first second on. finally there was a female vocalist that embodied coolness and sex-appeal all at once - and I wanted to be like her! because when the "just a girl"-video came out I was still living at my parents', still going to school and had a kind of "good girl" image I couldn't shake off even though listening to bands like "rage against the machine".
so, I started to work on my image which shouldn't be artificial but show my true sides. I started to choose more consciously the "cool" clothes, and unfortunately I started to smoke (this isn't gwen stefani's fault, I think she is one of the healthiest entertainers ever - too good this girl! (-; ).
by the way, you probably already know thet gwen stefani nowadays is one of the most famous style icons in the world! seems like I had a good intuition for that ;)
but this band not only had a slight impact on my style, over the years it even helped me to process a traumatic break up of my big big love... sounds cheesy I know!
but there were songs like "don't let me down", "marry me", "simple kind of life", "excuse me mister", and of course "don't speak" that accompanied my different moods like anger, sadness, recovery and the state in which you start developing a new point of view about things.

because "don't let me down" hasn't been released as a single, many people don't know this song. which is why I want to introduce it to you:
