I always found it difficult to understand the link between Gwen Stefani and Madonna.
Okay, Madonna was an extravagant artist back in the days. Gwen is very transformable with her style, too, and people claimed she would imitate Madonna.
But the pink hair she had during the "Return of Saturn"-Album I discovered only today how she got inspired to this.
Watching the beginning of a Navy CIS episode girls were singing "Walking in L.A." by Missing Persons, a band of the eighties.
Now look at the front woman...
Doesn't it look familiar? I'm old enough to say that I've never seen Madonna like this.
There are also others, less popular artists with extravagant taste. Not only the now-called diva.
So just imitate and reverse it (platinblond fringe and the rest in pink).
A good copy is always better than a bad invention!
This is not meant judgementally. You all know that I love Gwen. It's just the way it goes how we get inspired.
And here's the song I was talking about. Enjoy!
