paulo coelho's blog

I read Paulo Coelho's books a long time ago, in a phase of my life when I - mulling over almost everything - was receptive for spiritual wisdom to make things more bearable. After the 4th book I stopped. By that time I was OK again and had the feeling that his stories were too far away from reality, at least for me. What started to get on my nerves was the "it's either this or that"- and the "that's the ONLY way of..."-talking which I feel is an arrogant ignorance of the grey part in a black-and-white-kind of thinking.
But as everyone knows or has experienced himself we are not permanently robust throughout our whole life for whatever reasons, mostly reasons of evolution with all its challenges. So when you're feeling lost, confused, a more limited, or said in positive terms "concentrated", way of thinking definitely can be helpful to see things clear again.
That kind of back up you do have by visiting his blog whenever you want and get your comfort whenever you want!

Of course you don't necessarily have to be kind of lost to be interested in it. Others may be inspired and stimulated in their thinking processes or value systems.

However you feel about him, you will see how sometimes we unconsciously employ what he conveys. I am closing this post with a quotation he uses at the moment on his blog which is similar to something I recently said to a friend:

P.S.: Question: What is your favorite Coelho-book? Mine is "Veronica decides to die" (which has been adapted into a movie with Sarah Michelle Gellar...).
