AT: Kampfgeist

I always wanted to be liked by everyone. Only now, much later, I get used to that indifference towards others that helps to enforce our rights and wills.
like today... when I learned at work that my created promostory was submitted at a spot festival without mentioning my name... fair enough names were given of whom "managed" the project. but I couldn't allow that this story was going to participate at a competition without recognizing the one who came up with and developed the ideas as well.
half a year before I probably wouldn't have said anything. now I know what is justified to be enforced even with the possible loss of sympathy. I did it. now my name has been given, too. that's what I consider as the first step of "kampfgeist". it will be going on.
...'cause I am starting to like what ashton kutcher recently posted: "THE PERSON WITH NO ENEMIES HAS DONE NOTHING".

my mother, usually very smooth, gave me another speech to remember:
"whatever you do, they will throw stones at you. hence keep on fighting, never give up, stand up for your thing."

she quoted a song of the sixties sung by french vocalist "antoine".
PIETRE (stones)

Here the lyrics:

Tu sei buono e ti tirano le pietre.
(you're good, they throw stones at you)
Sei cattivo e ti tirano le pietre.

(you're bad, they throw stones at you)
Qualunque cosa fai, dovunque te ne vai,
(whatever you do, whereever you go)
sempre pietre in faccia prenderai.
(your face will always be hit by stones)

Tu sei ricco e ti tirano le pietre
(you're rich,
they throw stones at you)
Non sei ricco e ti tirano le pietre
(you're not rich,
they throw stones at you)
Al mondo non c' mai qualcosa che gli va
(in the world there's never anything they like)
e pietre prenderai senza piet!
(stones will be thrown at you without pity)

Sar cos
finch vivrai
(It's going to be like this as long as you live)
Sar cos
Se lavori, ti tirano le pietre.
(when you work,
they throw stones at you)
Non fai niente e ti tirano le pietre.
(when you don't,
they throw stones at you)
Qualunque cosa fai capire tu non puoi
(whatever you do, you'll never understand)
se bene o male quello che tu fai.
(if it is good or bad what you're doing)

Tu sei bello e ti tirano le pietre.
(you're handsome,
they throw stones at you)
Tu sei brutto e ti tirano le pietre.
(you're ugly,
they throw stones at you)
E il giorno che vorrai difenderti vedrai
(the day you want to defend yourself, you'll see)
che tante pietre in faccia prenderai!
(that many stones you're going to receive!)

when reading it, it sounds depressiv, but it's also funny. please just listen to the song, to get it. ;-)

oh, and keep your fingers crossed for a nomination! ;)
